Buen camino!  Two little words with a very powerful meaning.  As you walk the way it is traditional to wish other pilgrims a good journey.  I will be making every effort along the way to be sure to wish this to every other pilgrim I encounter while walking. Buen means […]

Buen Camino

The camino provides. This is a theme I learned on my first journey on the Camino de Santiago. You find very quickly that your needs are covered and most times in miraculous and unexpected ways. So as I have been gearing up to leave there has been one steady need […]

I will say it more than once

As of this post I have arrived safely in Madrid. I am so exhausted after being awake for so long.  So my first order of business is a nap…but only a small one before dinner.  Hopefully I can slide right into the new time zone.

Today is my first official day walking on the Camino de Santiago.  My body is still trying to adjust to the new time zone. This morning I woke up at 4am because my 6 million dollar leg was a bit on fire. I really wanted to just start walking but […]

Best dinner ever!

Today was an easy “rest” day. This section of the Camino does not have as many rest stops along the way so instead of doing too much I have opted to take it a bit easier. I am staying with the same group of pilgrims from dinner the last two […]

An easy day

What a wonderful and long day. I managed to do just a bit over 20 kilometers today. In the morning I walked with my friends. Then after lunch I walked solo from Vianna to Logroño. My friends have a slightly faster pace. Along the way I got a bit more […]
